Queen’s Park boss Gardner Speirs is hoping for a repeat of the first time the Spiders visited Borough Briggs.
Queen’s won in a impressive performance 4-0 in September last year with Longworth scoring a double with Quinn and Shankland also netting.
And although their meeting art Hampden ended in a 1-1 draw last month, Gardner is hoping his team can produce some more attacking finesse to get the three points against the Black and Whites.
He said: “Yes a result like that would be nice, but it will be a tough game and just getting the three points will be a challenge.”
Elgin maybe haven’t been in the best form of late - especially compared with the start of the season. They were beaten 4-3 by East Stirling last week.
Gardner fully expects them to turn things round - but hope the revival doesn’t start this weekend!
He added: “They’ve hit a wee sticky patch the now after going so well at the start of the season. Of course it could take just one result for them to go on another good run so we have to try and make sure that result they’re looking for doesn’t happen this Saturday.
“I’m sure if we can continue to defend well and take our chances then we’ll be fine.”
Gardner added: “Our squad its looking pretty fresh for the game, we’ll have to see how Paul Gallacher is as he missed the East Stirling game with a tight hamstring but we should be OK aside from that.”
