Clyde gaffer Jim Duffy wants to see more spark in his team as they prepare to take on Peterhead this Saturday.
The former Chelsea coach will be looking for a response after his side were beaten by Montrose last week.
It’ll be a tough game at Balmoor against a team Jim tipped as contenders for promotion in pre season, although the good news for Clyde is that they’re injury free.
He said: “Any manager can accept losing mayches, especially at lower level as you can appreciate the inconsistencies. I just get frustrated when you can’t see the spark in the team, you want to see a bit of life.
“For Saturday we should have a full compliment, which is encouraging as Peterhead will be an extremely tough task.
“They will perhaps be a bit disappointed they’re not higher up the league. I certainly thought they’d be up there with Rangers. I still think they will go on a run, they’re more than capable of that, they’ve got guys that can score at any given time like McAllister and Bavidge. When you’ve got these types of players in your team you can always turn a game on its head in a second.”
The club have also confirmed that Steven Masterton has left Clyde by mutual consent.
Steven joined the Bully Wee for a second spell when he signed a short-term deal in August, but injury problems have prevented him from playing in recent weeks.
Jim Duffy said: “Stevie has had ongoing pelvic and groin problems and he just can’t get himself fit, so it was in everyone’s interests for him to move on. He can now work on his rehab in Ayrshire, where he lives, as opposed to travelling up here for treatment.
“He’s very disappointed, he wanted to make a contribution and in his first couple of games I certainly felt he did that.
“I hope he can get back playing soon as he’s a decent guy and a good player.”
