Labour leader hits campaign trail

Ed Miliband has hit the campaign trail ahead of what Scottish Labour leaders have described as the "doorstep election".

Mr Miliband spoke to residents in the south side of Glasgow - a key target seat in May's vote - during his first trip to Scotland since succeeding Gordon Brown as party leader.

The MP joined activists on his way to the Scottish Labour conference in Oban, where he will address supporters.
