Shipbuilding jobs drive launched

A campaign to encourage more recruits into the shipbuilding industry has been launched.

Scottish Enterprise's three-year marketing and social media campaign aims to increase the number of recruits to the shipbuilding and engineering industry in Scotland.

The economic development organisation is working closely with "key industry players" to attract more than 1000 new employees, including apprentices, to work on the £3.9 billion Royal Navy Future Aircraft Carrier project and to provide the engineering foundation for the industry beyond this project.
