Two prostitute rapes in street

Two prostitutes were raped within hours of each other after meeting men in the same street earlier today (Thursday) and last night.

Police described the city centre attacks as "nasty and violent" and said they were not ruling out the possibility they may be linked. In the first incident the 47-year-old victim met a man on Robertson Street, Glasgow at around 11.45pm on Wednesday 10 December

She then walked with him to Finnieston Street where she was violently attacked and raped. The woman suffered minor injuries and was left extremely distressed, though she did not need hospital treatment.
