The Cambuslang Strollers have announced their programme of themed walks for the coming weeks and months.
The strollers is a walking group for parents/carers and their babies/children, which meets every Wednesday at 10.30am at the Cairns Road entrance to Cambuslang Park.
Now they have confirmed their themes for the winter/spring 2013 session, which each walk being led by a trained leader.
Shona Gilmour from the group said: “Through January we were unsure if strollers would be able to continue but fortunately we have had some volunteers that are due to be trained very shortly which is great news, in the meantime the weekly walks will be lead by Karen Smith and myself.
“Each week we have a ‘walk and find activity’ for the children, searching for pictures around a particular theme as we walk.”
Theme which has been established for the coming weeks are:
February 20: nursery rhymes - walk and find some favourite nursery rhyme characters who are lost in the park.
February 27: castles - come and join princesses and knights on a journey to a fairytale castle.
March 6: Mother’s Day - walk and find pictures of mums doing all the things that mums do.
March 13: birthday - walk and find pictures of all the fun things that happen on your birthday.
March 20: spring - look and find flowers and other things we see in the park in springtime.
March 27: Easter - come along and enjoy a special Easter egg hunt around the park.
April 3: baby animals - walk and find pictures of baby animals which are born in the spring.
