Castlemilk man Craig McCaffrey has been found in the River Clyde after going missing following a Hallowe’en party.
Police confirmed the body of the 24-year-old, who attended Trinity High School, was found last Monday, December 3.
Craig had been at a Hallowe’en party at the O2 Academy in Glasgow on Friday, October 26. He was dressed as a gorilla.
He was last seen heading in the direction of Bridge Street.
His body was recovered from the river near Glasgow Science Centre.
A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said: “Around 10.05am on Monday, the body of a man was recovered from the River Clyde near to the Science Centre.
“We can now confirm that the man has been identified as 24-year-old Craig McCaffrey, who was last seen on a night out with friends in Eglinton Street, Glasgow on Friday October 26.
“Relatives are aware and a full report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
“A post mortem examination has now been carried out, and police are not treating the death as suspicious.”
