A NEW ladies club for the over-60s is proving to be a huge success.
The Golden Girls afternoon club was only founded last month, and is already attacting a growing number of members.
The ladies meet on Thursdays, in the Cathkin community hall, and continue to meet each week from 1-3pm.
A spokeswoman said: “The club is ideal for any ladies looking for somewhere to go.
“They should come along for a cup of tea or coffee, a chat and a laugh with the Golden Girls.
“Activities we’ve planned and had to date include dancing, bingo, a sing-song, massages, nail manicures and day trips.
“It’s been going brilliantly since we started, and we now have 16 members who are all really enjoying it.
“Last week we had along Zumba instructor Kirstie Stewart, who’s a local girl, and the ladies all really enjoyed it.
“Just come along to join in the fun.”
The cost is £2.
