LANARKSHIRE metal band Bleed From Within are going from strength to strength after a successful sophomore album and a string of tour dates.
Their new album Empire was received well with fans when released in May.
Recently, the five-piece have also been signed to Agency Group, one of the largest booking agencies in the world, home to bands such as Lamb of God, Paramore, Alice Cooper and a few non-metal facts, such as Amy Macdonald and Bloc Party.
Stonehouse guitarist Craig Gowans said: “This is a big opportunity for us and means we will get to go on bigger and better tours and play places all over the world we’ve never been to before.
“After the album release show in April, we went straight to mainland Europe and completed a successful three-week tour, visiting 12 countries in 20 days.
“The crowds were amazing and we got to visit a lot of places we’ve always wanted to see, taking a day off in Barcelona.”
The band are Craig (21), with David Lennon (21) on guitar, David Provan (22) on bass, and drummer Ali Richardson (20), all from Hamilton. Alongside them is 21-year-old singer Scott Kennedy, of Larkhall.
The lads came home from the tour for a day, then went straight back out in the UK for a month with fellow rockers Trigger the Bloodshed, visiting Ireland for three days, and also popping over to Germany to play the Summerblast festival in Trier.
They finished the tour by playing at Ghostfest in Leeds, alongside some of the UK’s best hardcore and metal bands.
Other dates played this year were the Traffic Jam Open Air festival in Dieburg, Germany, and the Sonisphere festival at Knebworth, one of the UK’s biggest rock and metal festivals.
Craig continued: “Next on the cards is Brutal Assault open air festival in the Czech Republic, and Ieperfest in Belgium, followed by our first-ever Mexican tour at the end of September.
“The big news is us getting our first big support tour. We are proud to announce we will be touring the UK and Europe in November and December with Swedish metal legends Soilwork, American heavyweights All That Remains and Germany’s Caliban.
“We are very excited about this tour as we will get to play to sold out crowds every night, and get to go to Sweden, Finland and Switzerland.”
