HARD-working employees from Cambuslang have won £1000 after being named Kwik Fit Insurance employees of the year at the company’s annual awards.
Barry Branigan, who works in Kwik Fit Insurance intermediary in the Smart Co department, picked up the award for Smart Co Employee of the Year, while Julie Price was HR and Training Employee of the Year. Each received the £1000 prize, along with 31 other winners from various areas of the business.
The awards, hosted by camp comic Craig Hill, were held at The Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh with over 250 guests in attendance. The event recognises the top performers from all areas of the business who have contributed to the success of the company in 2008.
Employee Barry said: “It is a great honour to win an employee of the year award. It has been a very successful year for Kwik Fit Insurance across all areas of the business, so I knew I would be up against some tough competition.
“It’s fantastic that the company rewards so many of our staff for their hard work and it’s a night I’ll never forget.”
Managing director of Kwik Fit Insurance, Brendan Devine, presented Barry and Julie with their awards.
He said: “It’s important as a business for us to reward key employees who contribute greatly to our continued success and to our continued growth. Well done to our winners.”
