Facts of the matter

I REFER to Mr Stevenson’s letter in the Reformer of June 3 2009.

His language gets more extreme and his wild accusations even more so.

He accuses me of “double dipping” which I think means claiming twice for the same thing.

As explained by the Kenny Smith article on the front page of the Reformer of May 27 2009 Parliament rules for Ministers dictated London was their main home and the constituency was their second home.

This was changed by Parliament and in February 2005 I started to claim for the London flat.

The mortgage interest, the service charge and council tax he refers to all relate to London.

This is all clear from the information I have made available to the public but in his desperation to smear me, he can’t even get the facts right.
