Park clean up was a massive success

RUTHERGLEN Community Council would like to thank everyone who turned up on Saturday April 25 to help with the Big Clean Up of Overtoun Park.

It was wonderful to see so many people taking an interest in their local community. It was an example of how it is possible to make a difference if we all work together.

We also thank our local councillors (from all parties) who were prepared to roll up their sleeves and work as a team for the benefit of the community.

The community council are hoping to hold local consultations in the near future to encourage more public participation in improving the facilities within the park.
